Graham Gillmore
Biography
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1963, Gillmore was a founding member of the influential Futura Bold collective in the 1980s. He rose to prominence as part of a generation of Vancouver artists who rejected traditional landscape painting in favour of a more raw, international style. He spent significant time living and working in New York City before returning to the West Coast. He currently divides his time between Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the rural interior of British Columbia.
